Speech & Debate is a teenage comedy about hypocrisy adult and children’s maximalism. Initially, it was the off-Broadway play, which received a second life as a film adaptation by Dan Harris.
The main characters of the film are three ordinary teenagers from high school Solomon, Diwata and Howie. They live a quiet ordinary life. However, behavior of people around oppresses them. All parents and teachers dissemble. They cover their dishonesty and malice by feigned sincerity and virtue.
Getting tired to tolerate it, the main characters are looking for a way that their voices were heard finally. There is a solution! They decided to revive the old school club called Speech & Debate. Let’s see what will happen…
