The Resurrection of Gavin Stone is family comedy. This movie highlights the life story of Gavin Stone. He used to be a star from the childhood. But it has emerged that the adulthood is not that easy. He struggles at the moment in his tiny hometown. Being unappreciated actor Gavin passes through the arrest and community blame. He has to do community work in local church and finds out that they need an actor for the Easter play. That’s why Gavin decides to pretend a Christian to gain a main character, Jesus Christ. But he has no idea that it starts the ball rolling of the totally new experience, spiritual travel.
